Field Hockey

Field hockey is a team sport played on grass or artificial turf, where two teams of eleven players use curved sticks to hit a small ball into the opposing team’s goal to score points. The game combines elements of speed, strategy, and skill, featuring dribbling, passing, and shooting techniques. Players aim to control the ball and create scoring opportunities while also defending against the opposing team. Field hockey is governed by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), which sets the rules and organizes major international competitions, including the Hockey World Cup and the Olympic Games. The sport is popular in various countries, particularly in Europe, Asia, and Australia.
